Arrow is our lead pick as always but we’ll also be paying special attention to the new CBS Procedural, S.W.A.T., starring Shemar Moore, which premieres tonight at 10. Also on tonight, Gotham, Impractical Jokers season finale and Thursday Night Football (if you have the NFL Network).
As you sit back and relax tonight with your kid’s Halloween candy hall, enjoy our picks for What To Watch, tonight!
We love us some Mr. Robot but you have to kill a couple of hours before you get to that treat so we highly recommend the craziness happening over in Riverdale this season. Also, SEAL Team and Dynasty are aces for us. Elsewhere around the dial, Season 2 of Stan Against Evil premieres tonight and there is also the final game of the World Series. So, you’ve got options. Except in the 8pm hour. Not much happening there.
Yes, Flash is happening tonight (with guest star Danny Trejo!!) and Legends too but, tonight is a sportsball night with the Astros trying to finish off the Dodgers for the World Series Win and Pop Culture’s favorite soccer team, NYC FC trying to advance in its semi final game versus SC.
Stranger Things 2
“Chapter One: MADMAX”
Welcome back, friends. Back to Hawkins. Back to the 80’s. Back to the Upside Down! Grab your walkie talkie; grab your waffles; and let’s dive into Chapter One: MADMAX!
We watch The Brave on Mondays but also The Gifted and Supergirl. Tonight is extra special since we have Kelly Clarkson on The Voice and MLS Playoffs hitting the Semi Finals. Scorpion, Valor and The Good Doctor are on our radar as well. Mondays are a full boat.
Yes, we define our Fridays by MacGyver and Marvel’s Inhumans but tonight, we have the added odd twist of Michael Jackson’s Halloween, a new cartoon special featuring the music of the deceased King of Pop – which is creepy sounding enough as is. Featuring an all star cast of voices, this seems like something base curiosity demands you watch. Oh, Season 3 of Blindspot premieres, Game 3 of the World Series moves to Houston, and Nerds play in an Injustice 2 World Championship on ELeague. Welcome to Friday, folks.
Gotham, Arrow, Channing Tatum, and a saucy sounding Lifetime Movie make up the best of TV tonight. But first, some words from Benson (RIP Robert Guillaume) …
Robert Guillaume, best known for his role as Benson DuBois in both Soap and its spin-off, Benson, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2017 due to complications from his battle with prostate cancer. He was 89. He is survived by his wife, Donna Brown Guillaume, and his 4 living children. His son, Jacques, passed away from AIDS in 1990.
On Tuesday, October 24, 2017, Fats Domino passed away at his home in Louisiana following a long illness. He was 89. Born February 26, 1928, in New Orleans, Antoine Dominique Domino Jr. is considered by many to be one of the greatest rock and roll artists to ever live. With more than 30 top 40 hits in the 1950’s and early 60’s and more than 65 million records sold in the same period, only Elvis was a bigger act in that time period. Those numbers are no small feat for anyone, but even more impressive for an African American musician growing up in the Jim Crow south who had the equivalent of a 4th grade education.
Wednesdays are all about Mr. Robot but we also have 2 entries in Sportsball watching tonight with the World Series continuing and the MLS Playoffs beginning. Also, The CW gives us some guilty pleasure watching with Dynasty. But maybe my favorite entry tonight is The Story of Us with Morgan Freeman, mainly because Morgan will be talking about how love binds us all. In his Morgan Freeman voice. How can you say no to that?
