A new psychological thriller for this Fall television season, YOU represents the intersection of personal obsession and our society’s pre-occupation with social media … at the expense (and loss?) of all sorts of privacy.
If interested on why you should be watching YOU, check out our “Love It Or Leave It” review here. But, once you’re ready, read on for our deep dive recap & review of the Pilot episode of YOU … after the jump (SPOILERS BEWARE)!

YOU “Love It or Leave It?”
Premieres September 9, 2018
YOU, one of the newest shows of the Fall season, premieres Sunday, September 9 at 10pm (ET) on Lifetime. We have been fortunate to see the first several episodes in advance and so we’re providing our (spoiler free) “Love It or Leave It?” review earlier than usual.

Based on Caroline Kepnes’ 2014 novel of the same name, YOU stars Penn Badgley (Gossip Girl), Elizabeth Lail (Once Upon a Time) and Shay Mitchell (Pretty Little Liars). The series was developed for television by Sera Gamble (The Magicians) and Greg Berlanti (The CW Arrow-verse). Gamble and Berlanti are also co-executive producers and sharing showrunner duties, as well.

A quick look at the tremendous acting and creative power at work here and you’re probably not surprised to hear that the show has already been renewed for a second season. If you follow me on social media or listen to the Jay and Mike Show (jayandmikeshow.com), you may already have a sense of how I feel about YOU. Also, I have become very aware of how often I am saying the word “you.”
In short, YOU is a twisted “love” story for the 21 st Century. And it’s fucking fantastic. With New York City as a backdrop (and itself, its own character), YOU boldly dives head first into exploring the hottest button issues in our technology- and social media-obsessed culture. If you’re reading this, YOU willspeak to you on some level.
Its Fireball Friday which can only mean one thing?!? You need to tune into the Jay and Mike Show’s TVTalk (https://somanyshows.com/sms-on-air) at 9/8c!! You DO NOT want to miss tonight’s show!
Our Top Pick to Watch Tonight — 15 networks will simultaneously air the annual live event, Stand Up To Cancer at 8pm (ET). Also on, The Killer Closer on ID, and Wynonna Earp and Killjoys over on Syfy.
What To Watch Tonight? Well, Thursdays are … not great. But, we still have brand new Queen of the South (Our Top Pick To Watch Tonight!), as well as Shooter and Take Two!! And to some, most importantly, we have the start of the NFL Football Season!

The Bold Type “We’ll Always Have Paris” (Episode 210) August 7, 2018
I’m finally doing this, recapping the season finale of The Bold Type. Even though I’ve watched the finale three times, putting words to computer for the recap was something I may have been avoiding a bit.
A few things about me, I almost didn’t go to my high school graduation because I wasn’t ready for it to be over. Because, to be graduating meant starting something new. Change and new are hard for me. Another example? I have three books that were sooo good that I didn’t read the end; maybe one day, but that day isn’t today.
When I really like something, I have a habit of avoiding the “end.” So, by not writing this recap then I don’t have to think about how I have to wait ten months before I can recap more episodes of TBT.
Alas, I can only put this off so long [Ed. Note: So long before her editor’s head explodes =)]; soon, Fall season premieres will begin. So, I’m pulling off the band aid and I’m recapping “We’ll Always Have Paris.” I can do this, ten months isn’t so long. So now that you know a little more about me here …
Oh, wait. Catch up with what happened in the previous episode, “Trippin’” here. Caught up? memory Jogged? Great! Without further adieu, let’s go to Paris….if you haven’t watched the finale yet you should know there are spoilers ahead.
