What To Watch – Wednesday, January 17, 2018

Wednesdays almost have too much great TV. Our lead pick is The Magicians but we’ll also be watching The Librarians, Vikings, Knightfall, the series premiere of Corporate and at some point, Riverdale!

8pm Hour:

1st Choice:  The Librarians.   “When a Civil War reenactment in a town called Feud is plagued by ghosts, the Librarians have to uncover the truth of what really happened there over 100 years ago.”  TNT

2nd Choice:   Vikings.   Ahead of tonight’s new outing, watch last week’s episode.  Bjorn and Lagertha repelled Ivar’s gang … for the time being.  History

3rd Choice: Riverdale.   This wacky season returns with an all new episode … “Tensions mount when the sudden shut down of Southside High forces Jughead and his fellow serpents to transfer to Riverdale High. Veronica ensures Hiram and Hermoine that she’s still on board with their plans for SoDale. Archie is conflicted when he is asked to gather some information on Hiram’s suspicious business dealings. Betty sets out on a quest to find her long-lost brother, Chic.” Fox

9pm Hour:

1st Choice:  The Magicians.  “Eliot embarks on a quest. Quentin, Kady, and Josh continue their search for magic.”  Syfy

2nd Choice:   Vikings.   “The army leaders consider their options in the aftermath of the battle. Meanwhile, in Floki’s camp, all hopes of binding the community together are dashed as tragedy unfolds.”  History

3rd Choice:   SEAL Team.   “While on a mission to retrieve a downed top-secret drone, Jason and the SEAL Team disobey orders so they can save Clay, who is trapped beneath a room full of armed terrorists. Also, Clay and Stella’s relationship takes a new turn.”  CBS

10pm Hour:

1st Choice:  Knightfall.   “Landry and Gawain meet a mysterious woman who claims she can lead them to the Grail; Joan hears of an attack on Navarre; De Nogaret devises a way to improve his standing with King Philip.” History

2nd Choice:  Corporate.  The series premiere of this new workplace comedy is getting great buzz and Comedy Central has back to back episodes tonight.  “In the premiere of a series following the miserable lives of two downtrodden employees at a multinational corporation, an insensitive tweet threatens Hampton DeVille’s business, so Matt and Jake are tasked with firing the employee who posted it.”  Comedy

3rd Choice:   Happy!.   “Sax and Happy embark on lonely journeys in which Sax stumbles on a new plan to negotiate for his daughter’s release and Happy takes solace in the welcoming arms of another imaginary friend.” Syfy
