So, Christmas is done so you’re basically out of the schmaltzy Holiday Specials phase but most of your shows are still on Winter Hiatus, What to do? Well, this week will surely be filled with 2017 Retrospectives but tonight, we’re recommending some history learning on PBS, a shitty Charlie Brown special on ABC and crazy, Christmas themed murder mystery shows on ID. Fun times!! Oh, and the Kennedy Center Honors!

2nd Choice: Happy New Year, Charlie Brown. Certainly not a classic in the Charlie Brown Pantheon of Specials but hey, maybe watching a documentary about the end of the Crusades isn’t your thing? “From 1986: Charlie Brown rings in the new year at a party with Tolstoy’s “War and Peace” and ends up missing the evening’s surprise.
