What to Watch Tonight?  American Soul (we’re catching up on recaps, catch up on all our coverage here) is our Top Pick To Watch. The night is marked by series premieres, including Mental Samurai, The Village (which we did not like), and Lost Gold of World War II.   What are you watching?

8pm Hour:

1st Choice: The Flash. “Team Flash finds out that a suburban mom named Vickie Bolen is in danger and they race to save her. Upon meeting her, they discover she’s a meta-human who is hiding her abilities from her family. Barry encourages Vickie to share her secret with her family, which makes Nora realize she needs to come clean with her parents about Thawne.” The CW

2nd Choice: Good Trouble.  “Callie takes her moms to meet Judge Wilson and his family.” Freeform

3rd Choice:  MasterChef Junior. “The top 20 junior home cooks test their leadership and communication skills in a bold carnival-themed competition. As two teams of nine fuel 51 Circus Vargas performers with a delicious lunch, one team prepares seared salmon and the other grills NY strip steak. With at least two contestants on the chopping block, the home cooks must rise to the occasion in a birthday cake pressure challenge to prove their rightful spot.” Fox

1st Choice: American Soul“When Dick Clark debuts a rival show, Don enlists the help of a renowned activist to take him down. JT makes a deal with the CRIPS in order to protect his family. Tessa auditions for a dance troupe and has a run-in with her past.” BET

2nd Choice: Mental Samurai.  “The series premiere. Hopefuls from all walks of life navigate an obstacle course for the mind. Contestants battle the boundaries of their minds to answer questions in four categories—knowledge, memory, puzzles and sequencing—accurately with speed and precision.” Fox

3rd Choice: Rosewll, NM.  “Max and Michael travel to Texas to visit a faith healer, who may be able to shed some light on the alien symbol Max has been researching. Meanwhile, Maria and Liz pay a visit to the same faith healer in hopes of finding a cure for Maria’s ailing mother. Elsewhere, Alex and Kyle look into what Sargant Manes may be hiding.” The CW

1st Choice:  Lost Gold of World War II.  “A team of Americans attempts to solve one of the great mysteries of World War II. With the help of an eyewitness, they explore a mountain in the Philippines where Japanese general Yamashita is believed to have buried a vast treasure during the war.” History

2nd Choice: The Rookie. “Officer Nolan gets a lesson in respect after his arrest of a gang member leads to a free-for-all on his life. Meanwhile, Officer Chen and Officer Bradford pull over Mario Lopez, who thinks he can talk his way out of a traffic violation.” ABC

3rd Choice: The Village. “The premiere of the drama about the intertwined lives of the residents of a Brooklyn building. Sarah is a nurse and single mom navigating the emotional volatility of her creative teenage daughter; Gabe is a young law student trapped between obligations to his grandfather and to his career; Ava is thrown into crisis when she’s arrested by ICE in front of her young son; Nick returns from war and discovers everything he left behind; Ron and Patricia work to keep the Village family intact.” NBC
