The day after Thanksgiving isn’t just about Black Friday sales but it’s the official start of the Holiday specials season. Tonight kicks off with wall to wall Christmas Specials including, among other choices, the classics Frosty the Snowman and How the Grinch Stole Christmas. The only normal Friday night show on is Van Helsing at 10pm.
8pm Hour:
1st Choice: Frosty the Snowman/Frosty Returns. “Jimmy Durante narrates the story about the warmhearted man of snow, who risks a meltdown from rising temperatures unless he can get to the North Pole.” “The happy snowman (voice of John Goodman) is threatened by a coldhearted inventor with a snow-removal spray in this animated adventure. 2nd Choice: Santa Claus is Comin’ To Town. “Fred Astaire and Mickey Rooney are among those who lend their voices to this holiday tale, which explains the legend of Santa Claus and how he began delivering toys to children on Christmas Eve. As a young man, he tries to deliver toys to the kids” ABC
3rd Choice: How The Grinch Stole Christmas. “The Dr. Seuss tale about the Whos, creatures who like nothing better than Christmas, and the evil Grinch, with a heart two sizes too small—and a plan to steal the holiday. Boris Karloff narrates this 1966 classic. Songs by Dr. Seuss.” NBC
