What To Watch – Thursday, November 9, 2017

Arrow remains my favorite of the The CW Superhero shows and so I love Thursday nights but after that and Gotham … I’m really just hanging around for CBS’s new show, S.W.A.T. And not much else.   Speaking of Arrow?  Slade is back  tonight. We love when Deathstroke comes to town!!

8pm Hour:

1st Choice: Gotham.    “Grundy and Nygma become main attractions at Cherry’s Place in the Narrows; Penguin wants revenge when he hears Nygma is mocking him on stage and enlists the Sirens for help; and Gordon is offered the position of GCPD captain, putting him at odds with Bullock” FOX

2nd Choice: Thursday Night Football.   Seattle Seahawks (5-3) at Arizona Cardinals (4-4). From University of Phoenix Stadium. NBC

3rd Choice: Running Wild with Bear Grylls. Tonight’s repeat episode has Ben Stiller in it. Who doesn’t want to see Ben Stiller running wild?!? Nat Geo

9pm Hour:

1st Choice: Arrow.  When last we saw Oliver, he was interrupting date night with Felicity to take a call from Slade.  Who needs his help.  We pick up there, tonight. “Joe is taken hostage by mercenaries and the mission to rescue him gets complicated by a terrible revelation that could shatter Slade’s hopes of reunion forever. Meanwhile, Vigilante reappears in Star City.”  The CW

2nd Choice: The Orville.   “The Orville is called to mediate a peace treaty between two warring cultures, but tensions run even higher between Ed and Kelly when a familiar face boards the ship. Meanwhile Yaphit declares his love for Dr. Finn with surprising results.” FOX

3rd Choice:  Blood Relatives. We’re from Queens, NY so this episode called to us … “In Queens, NYPD detectives discover a bullet-pierced body stuffed into the trunk of a car and quickly find themselves drawn into a dark tale of brotherhood, backstabbing, and betrayal.” ID

10pm Hour:

1st Choice: S.W.A.T.  Tonight, Hondo’s growing pains as team leader continue.  Following a strong pilot, we’re giving this one a go.  Especially given the lack of competition in the 10pm hour. “Hondo and the SWAT team spread out across Los Angeles to capture four escaped convicts, including a violent criminal Jessica helped bring to justice. Meanwhile, Hondo’s role as team leader is questioned when Street displays a flagrant disregard for SWAT protocol” CBS

2nd Choice: Tune back to Thursday Night Football. NBC.

3rd Choice: Nothing. Absolutely nothing else worth watching at this hour.
