Warrior, a new “action-packed crime drama,” premieres tonight on Cinemax at 10/9c.  According to the press release, “the show is based on writings of martial arts legend Bruce Lee, and created and executive produced by Jonathan Tropper (CINEMAX’s Banshee) under Tropper Ink Productions and Justin Lin on behalf of Perfect Storm Entertainment.”

Synopsis.  According to the official press release, “Warrior is a gritty, action-packed crime drama set during the brutal Tong Wars of San Francisco’s Chinatown in the second half of the 19th century. The series follows Ah Sahm, a martial arts prodigy who emigrates from China to San Francisco under mysterious circumstances and becomes a hatchet man for one of Chinatown’s most powerful tongs (Chinese organized crime family).”

Cast Information.  Warrior stars Andrew Koji (as Ah Sahm), and features series regulars: Kieran Bew (as Bill O’Hara), Olivia Cheng (as Ah Toy), Dianne Doan (as Mai Ling), Dean Jagger (as Dylan Leary), Langley Kirkwood (Walter Buckley), Hoon Lee (as Wang Chao), Christian McKay (Mayor Samuel Blake), Joe Taslim (as Li Yong), Jason Tobin (as Young Jun), Joanna Vanderham (Penelope Blake), Tom Weston-Jones (Richard Lee) and Perry Yung (Father Jun).
