First, Happy Hanukah to all the Members of the original Tribe! Spin those dreidels, kids! Second, Oooph. Tough night for TV, friends. We’ve got Gwen Stefani (she’s got a Christmas album!), a Documentary on the newest engaged Royals, and NCIS. OH!! We also have Beetlejuice.
Beetlejuice. Beetlejuice! (You have to say it 3 times).
8pm Hour:
1st. Choice: NCIS. I mean, this is where we’re at. I love NCIS, I have always loved NCIS but the season just wasn’t keeping me and yet, its my main pick at this middle Tuesday of December. “As Torres and Sloane run protection detail for U.S. Senator John Phillips in Afghanistan for the holidays, they must urgently return to the states after hearing the senator’s son is in the ICU. Also, Gibbs and the team investigate the altercation that caused the life threatening injuries to the senator’s son.” CBS
2nd Choice: The Voice. “Three artists will be revealed as safe by America’s votes; the bottom two artists will be sent home immediately; and the middle three artists will compete in the Instant Save for the last spot in the finale.” NBC
3rd Choice: Greatest Holiday Commercials Countdown. Again, this is where we are at, this time of year friends. “A countdown of the 12 best holiday commercials ever—one for each of the 12 days of Christmas. In addition to the top 12, the special features other great commercials from both the U.S. and abroad, from the heartfelt to the hilarious.” The CW
9pm Hour:
1st Choice: Gwen Stefani’s You Make It Feel Like Christmas. Wait, Gwen has Christmas album? I know what’s going on my Spotify today! “Gwen Stefani is joined by Blake Shelton, Chelsea Handler, Ken Jeong, Seth MacFarlane and Ne-Yo in this holiday special, which features music and holiday-themed sketches. She sings songs from her “You Make It Feel Like Christmas” album, including a duet with Shelton, and such Christmastime classics as “Jingle Bells,” “Silent Night” and “Santa Baby.”” NBC
2nd Choice: When Harry Met Meghan: A Royal Engagement. Clearly, this is not my kind of thing but I imagine it has to be someone’s kind of thing. So, enjoy! TLC
3rd Choice: Grave Secrets. “A new bride is devastated when her husband Cody Johnson disappears days after their wedding. When she reports receiving an improbable email claiming that Cody died in a hiking accident, detectives fear this blushing bride is really a black widow” ID
10pm Hour:
1st Choice: Beetlejuice. Some of Michael Keaton’s finest work. For real. For those not familiar with the 1988 classic, “Newlyweds are killed suddenly and don’t realize it until a city family moves in and redecorates their beloved New England country house. Since they are not expert enough to scare anyone, they seek the advice of an unsavory self-proclaimed “bio-exorcist.”” IFC
2nd Choice: Strange Evidence. “A deep-ocean expedition discovers unnerving evidence of an alien-like monster stirring in the abyss. When an apocalyptic shockwave is caught on tape, investigators wonder if a meteor has hit a city. Something bizarre is happening in a Siberian ice river.” SCI
3rd Choice: Village of the Damned. “Two love stories turn to tragedy. In 1993, a woman awakes to see one friend murder another in a fit of jealous rage. Just a year later, Dryden’s beloved football coach crosses paths with his daughter’s deranged ex-boyfriend.” ID
