Every Monday we tell you how much we love Monday night TV and its true again tonight. Its an embarrassment of riches. In addition to our normal Favorites, Supergirl at 8, The Gifted at 9 and The Brave (our official favorite new show of 2017), we are happy to add Ride with Norman Reedus and Robert Kirkman’s Secret History of Comics. to our What to Watch list.
8pm Hour:
1st Choice: Supergirl. Filler episode? This feels like a filler episode. “Kara and Alex head home to Midvale for a little R&R. While there, Kara recalls a painful memory of a childhood friend’s death and how that traumatic experience brought the Danver sisters closer together.” Expect some flashbacks tonight to HS-aged Kara. The CW
2nd Choice: Monday Night Football. Miami Dolphins (4-4) at Carolina Panthers (6-3). From Bank of America Stadium. ESPN
3rd Choice: The Voice. The Playoffs, Night 1! “The remaining artists perform in front of coaches Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Hudson, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton for their chance at a spot in the live shows.” NBC
9pm Hour:
1st Choice. The Gifted. All debts eventually come through and tonight, Eclipse has to make good on his earlier season promise to Carmen. I’m sure that will work out well. “Eclipse receives a call from his ex-lover, Carmen (guest star Michelle Veintimilla), and must revisit his dark past in order to protect the Underground. Reed and Sage (Hayley Lovitt) comb through some secret files they recovered and find alarming information about Lauren’s new friend. Meanwhile, Thunderbird helps Blink open up about her past life and Jace greenlights a special surveillance program with the help of Dr. Campbell (guest star Garret Dillahunt)” FOX
2nd Choice: Ride with Norman Reedus. Tonight, the supremely likeable Reedus rides from LA to Joshua Tree with zombie effects master, Greg Nicotero. From the photo above, it also looks like Norman gets the Arseface treatment from AMC show, Preacher. AMC
3rd Choice: The Voice. The Playoffs, Night 1 Continues! NBC
10pm Hour:
1st Choice: The Brave. The coolest spec ops force on TV heads to Mongolia to investigate the crash of an undocumented (read – stealthily being used) drone. NBC
2nd Choice: The Good Doctor. We missed Shaun last week. Tonight him and the gang are back at it. Shaun deals with a patient with Autism which sounds like it should be relatable for him but I am sure, it will be the very opposite of easy. ABC
3rd Choice: Robert Kirkman’s Secret History of Comics. Tonight, we examine the kinky history of Wonder Woman in this wonderful limited run series. AMC
