What To Watch – Friday, October 27, 2017

Yes, we define our Fridays by MacGyver and Marvel’s Inhumans but tonight, we have the added odd twist of Michael Jackson’s Halloween, a new cartoon special featuring the music of the deceased King of Pop – which is creepy sounding enough as is.  Featuring an all star cast of voices, this seems like something base curiosity demands you watch. Oh, Season 3 of Blindspot premieres, Game 3 of the World Series moves to Houston, and Nerds play in an Injustice 2 World Championship on ELeague. Welcome to Friday, folks.

Fats Domino, Pioneer of Rock & Roll, Dies at 89

On Tuesday, October 24, 2017, Fats Domino passed away at his home in Louisiana following a long illness.  He was 89.  Born February 26, 1928, in New Orleans, Antoine Dominique Domino Jr. is considered by many to be one of the greatest rock and roll artists to ever live. With more than 30 top 40 hits in the 1950’s and early 60’s and more than 65 million records sold in the same period, only Elvis was a bigger act in that time period. Those numbers are no small feat for anyone, but even more impressive for an African American musician growing up in the Jim Crow south who had the equivalent of a 4th grade education.

What To Watch – Wednesday, October 25, 2017

Wednesdays are all about Mr. Robot but we also have 2 entries in Sportsball watching tonight with the World Series continuing and the MLS Playoffs beginning. Also, The CW gives us some guilty pleasure watching with Dynasty.  But maybe my favorite entry tonight is The Story of Us with Morgan Freeman, mainly because Morgan will be talking about how love binds us all. In his Morgan Freeman voice.  How can you say no to that?
