What To Watch Tonight – Tuesday, January 8, 2019

What to watch tonight?  The night starts off slow with only NCIS really worth the watch. But, once 9pm hits, we have a  lot of choices with all new The Gifted and FBI. At 10pm, we have the return of New Amsterdam, our Top Pick to Watch Tonight, with an excellent episode full of emotion and all the feels. Also, the series premiere of Project Blue Book on History Channel.

8pm Hour:

1st Choice: NCIS. “Secretary of Defense Wynn Crawford shuts down Gibbs’ murder investigation and demands that Special Agents McGee and Torres be arrested for their actions in the case.” CBS

2nd Choice:  Ellen’s Game of Games. “The Season 2 premiere features “Stink Tank,” “Oh Ship” and “Knockin’ Boots” in addition to “Blindfolded Musical Chairs.” The winner of each of the first four rounds advances to “Know or Go” and the person who wins that game advances to “Hot Hands” for a chance to win a cash prize.” NBC

3rd Choice: Finding Your Roots With Henry Louis Gates Jr.. “DNA detective work uncovers new branches of family trees for Andy Samberg and George R. R. Martin.” PBS

9pm Hour:

1st Choice:  The Gifted. “Reed worries as Lauren becomes intrigued by her ancestors and their violent powers. Lorna begins to reevaluate her trust in the Inner Circle after figuring out the past of Reeva’s new trainees. Meanwhile, Benedict Ryan continues to encourage Jace to take action with the Purifiers. Marcos asks Clarice to go to the Morlocks in search of information on the Inner Circle and Thunderbird gets a call from Evangeline.” Fox

2nd Choice: FBI. “A judge and her daughter are murdered after she sentenced a man to life in prison, and Maggie and OA search for the killer behind the possible retaliation. Dana has a vested interest in this case as she has a history with the victim.” CBS

3rd Choice: We’ll Meet Again.  “Two women search for friends and colleagues who forged a path for equal rights. One of the first female commercial pilots wants to thank her mentor, and an advocate hopes to find the woman who inspired her to join a movement.” PBS

10pm Hour:

1st Choice:  New Amsterdam.  “As Max fights for his life, New Amsterdam is in full swing with a pertinent heart surgery that is not covered by insurance and a potential nurses walk out. As the team feels Max’s absence and the doctors find out that they may have to treat one of their own, Sharpe must finally come clean about Max’s condition.” NBC

2nd Choice:  Project Blue Book. “Series inspired by the personal experiences of Dr. J. Allen Hynek, a brilliant college professor recruited by the U.S. Air Force to spearhead this clandestine operation that researched thousands of cases, over 700 of which remain unsolved to this day. ” History

3rd Choice: The Rookie. “Officer Bradford’s wife, Isabel, is found shot but alive and he vows to track down the man responsible. Meanwhile, Officer Nolan must protect his home and the truth after a home invasion attack.” ABC
