What to Watch – Monday, May 21, 2018

Season Finales Continue!! Tonight, we say goodbye to The Terror, which we have enjoyed immensely and hope gets a Season 2, as well as American Idol and the abbreviated DWTS Mini Series on Athletes. On The Voice, we have Part 1 of the 2 night season finale.  Elsewhere, there is brand new Supergirl and one of our current favorite shows, James Cameron’s Story of Science Fiction.  What are you watching tonight?

8pm Hour

1st Choice: Supergirl.  “Tanya, a disciple of Coville’s, escapes from what’s left of his cult, and gives Kara and James a journal that could hold the key to saving Sam. Someone learns Guardian’s identity and threatens to expose James if he doesn’t do what they ask. James contemplates what it means to be a black vigilante without a mask in America.” The CW

2nd Choice: The Voice.   Finale, Part 1! “The finalists perform three times—one new solo cover, a special duet with their coach, and they debut their first original single.”   NBC

3rd Choice:   Dancing with the Stars: Athletes.  “A winner is crowned after the fourth and final week of competition, which features two dances from each finalist, including a freestyle dance. Also: The season’s full roster of contestants reunite for a dance number.”  ABC

9pm Hour

1st Choice: The Terror.  “The Season 1 finale: The expedition’s epic journey reaches its climax as men find themselves in a final confrontation with the Inuit mythology they’ve trespassed into.” The Terror is super-sized tonight 15 minutes. AMC

2nd Choice: The Voice. Continues on NBC.

3rd Choice: American Idol.   “The winner is crowned in the Season 1 finale.” ABC.

10pm Hour

1st Choice:  James Cameron’s Story of Science Fiction.   Dark Futures!  “Steven Spielberg, Christopher Nolan, Robert Kirkman and others explore how humans will survive when the world goes to hell.” AMC

2nd Choice: Running Wild With Bear Grylls.  “Bear takes Lena Headey on the ride of her life as they paramotor deep into the Spanish wilderness. Continuing on foot, they traverse a towering, razor-thin ridge before a dead-end forces a harrowing rappel. After securing a dinner of bone marrow from a goat carcass, the two must cross a lake using a makeshift raft as an unexpected storm wreaks havoc. As they battle the elements, Lena discusses life on “Game of Thrones,” her rise to stardom, and her battle to overcome depression.” NBC

3rd Choice:   American idol.  Continues on  ABC.
