Black Lightning gives us its Season 1 finale and I’m sure it’ll be troubling and leave us wanting answers in Season 2. Elsewhere, Legion holds our Top Pick of the night because we can’t get enough of this show. Other interesting choices tonight include Shadowhunters (has this show become too focused on Malec?), Rise, NCIS, The Flash and a new docu-series from Nat Geo on the story of the Hitler Youth.
The Flash is still in repeats but NEVER FEAR! You have new Shadowhunters, Black Lightning, Rise and, AND the season 2 premiere of LEGION!!!!! And, its a super-sized episode!! Rejoice!
Its Freaky Friday done The Flash style tonight! And on Black Lightning, lots of aftermath from the bloody episode last week (lord, I’m behind on my recaps)!
At 10pm, we have the season finale of Bellevue which is bat shit crazy but I love it just the same. Also at 10, the series premieres of For the People (not sold) and Rise, Josh Radnor’s new show from Jason Katims which is AMAZING. This is our new go to show once Bellevue is done.
Typical Tuesday night fare with The Flash, Black Lightning, Bellevue and Drunk History, rounding out our favorite picks.
Also, if you’re bored, or if you just want to be entertained, check out Pop Culture Mike’s appearance on SMS On Air’s TV Talk — a one hour internet radio show where we chat about all things TV. Its hi-jinks and shenanigans! TV Talks begins at 8pm (ET). To listen, just click the clicky here:
Superhero Tuesdays are back!! In our continuing post-Olympics after glow, we’re feeling rejuvenated and ready for new episodes of our Favorite Shows. Tonight, we have new The Flash, Black Lightning (our Top Pick of the Night) and in the 10pm hour, we’re officially moving Bellevue into our 1st place slot – I’ve enjoyed the season so far and its worth giving it the eyeballs so maybe it gets a Season 2.
Its The CW Tuesdays so we are loving us some The Flash and Black Lightning (hoping I get my deep dive recap up in time for tonight’s episode …). But elsewhere, we are excited to see Tobias Fornell return to NCIS and we are adding two new recommendations, This Is Us (on a probationary status) and Bellevue (look up where WGN America is located in your cable subscription). And, as always, Drunk History is a Top Pick for the night!
Tonight, Barry is doing thug life time while the Trickster returns to menace Central City on an all new The Flash; in Freeland, Jefferson Pierce is trying to figure out if he should be Black Lightning once again; and at 10pm, the season 5 premiere of Drunk History featuring kickass heroines through time.
We’re still a week away from the return of new episodes from the Arrow-verse so in the meantime, we’re soothing ourselves with a repeat viewing of the Crisis on Earth-X crossover event, which is really worth a second viewing.
Also tonight, the 24th Cycle of America’s Next Top Model premieres, featuring the return of Tyra Banks who has come to save her signature show. Also premiering tonight, Undercover High, a thought piece on A&E that asks, “if given the chance, would you go back to HS to see what kids are facing today?”
While there is still no new The Flash or DC’s Legends of Tomorrow to watch, there are new CBS procedurals so NCIS and Bull have clawed back into our What To Watch, for this week anyway. But, the thing we’re most exctied about is the series premiere of LA to Vegas, a ridiculous looking comedy starring Dylan McDermott that looks so bad its good. Also, Hunting Hitler returns for a season 3 premiere. Yes, there have been 3 seasons of people looking for an undead Hitler.
First, Happy Hanukah to all the Members of the original Tribe! Spin those dreidels, kids! Second, Oooph. Tough night for TV, friends. We’ve got Gwen Stefani (she’s got a Christmas album!), a Documentary on the newest engaged Royals, and NCIS. OH!! We also have Beetlejuice.
Beetlejuice. Beetlejuice! (You have to say it 3 times).
