It’s a bright fall day in the South Bronx. Two brothers, Chris and Emmett Grant, raced down the street after school, heading for home. Chris stops when he sees his classmate Ginny.
Chris strikes up a conversation with Ginny, who comments he was babysitting. No, younger brother Emmett refutes. He wasn’t a baby and they were going to play Xbox and have meatball sandwiches.
The older brother hurries Emmett along, promising he’ll just be a minute. “It’s never just a minute,” grumbles Emmett as he goes up the steps into their building.
Alone at last, the teenagers talk about math homework and how Ginny doesn’t get algebra. Ginny asks to come up to Chris’s home so he could show her graphing equations when the windows in the building explode out, knocking the children off their feet.
What To Watch Tonight? Tuesday are the single best night of the week for TV. Across the board, you are at a minimum of three deep each hour of excellent dramas. At 8p, our Top Pick is The Flash followed closely by The Gifted. At 9, Black Lightning is our go to but we’ll be watching FBI also (check soon for our recaps). The new kid on the block, The Rookie, premieres tonight at 10pm, which we’ll be watching but on tape while we watch New Amsterdam live (and live tweet).
Before you watch your DC Superhero shows tonight, check out our Across the Arrowversefrom last week to know everything that happened!
What To Watch Tonight? Manifest is turning out better than I expected (check out our recap of last week’s episode here), and there is Constantine: The Legend Continues and The Good Doctor too. But our Top Pick To Watch Tonight is Arrow‘s Season 7 premiere! Also on tonight, worth noting, is The Voice and Monday Night Football!
What to Watch Tonight?!? So many options now on Sunday! With The CW continuing its season premiere roll out, Supergirl‘s season 4 premiere is Our Top Pick to Watch Tonight. Also at the top of our list? The Last Ship at 9pm and YOU on Lifetime at 10pm. We’re also recommending Doctor Who and The Walking Dead. And if none of that does it, you’re probably watching Sunday Night Football! What will you be watching?
Welcome to Across the Arrowverse, a new weekly round up everything that happened this week in the 5 DC superhero shows that air on The CW. We are including Black Lightning in the Arrowverse though its not been explicitly included but c’mon, it’ll happen eventually. And even if it doesn’t, well, you still want to know what’s going on with the Pierce family, admit it! Formate wise, we are going to briefly (for me anyway) recap each episode and then at the end, summarize any cross show references you need to be aware of (e.g., tonight’s The Flash had several Legends of Tomorrow references)
This week saw the season premieres of The Flash and Black Lightning with the other shows coming online in the next two weeks.
What To Watch Tonight? If you’re into sitcoms, Football or Shonda Rhimes, you fucking LOVE Thursday night TV. If not, well, maybe you can catch up on other stuff from earlier in the week. Here at PCR, if it wasn’t for the season 14 premiere of Supernatural, our Top Pick To Watch Tonight, we’d have the TV off tonight and we’d be reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
